Five men sentenced to death

Five men who were found guilty of killing two residents of Bibile in 1999, were sentenced to death by Moneragala High Court Judge Gihan H. Kulathunga today.

A gathering of UNP Parliamentarian Ranjith Madduma Bandara was attacked by supporters of SLFP MP Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza on December 9, 1999 in Yalkumbura, Bibile where two supporters of Mr.Bandara were shot to the death.
