Death sentence for two brothers and a friend

Three people, who were found guilty of having murdered William Hettiarachchi of Anguruwella in 1996, were today sentenced to death by Kegalle Magistrate Menaka Wijesundare.

The three – two brothers and their friend were also found guilty of having robbed Rs.500,000 and were each fined Rs.10,000 and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. (Rohan Kumara)
