Another Aussie bound trawler nabbed

An Australia bound trawler with 41 passengers onboard, including 5 children, was taken into custody 15 Nautical Miles off the Trincomalee coast, by the Navy today

They were arrested by a Navy patrol vessel deployed by the Eastern Naval Command.

The asylum seekers are believed to be residents of Vakarai, Trincomalee, Sampur, Chilaw and Negombo. They were brought to the Trincomalee Harbour by the Navy and handed over to the CID for further investigations.( S.D)
