UPDATE: SLAF helicopter crashes into Maduru Oya during training exercise

A Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 7 Squadron of the Sri Lanka Air Force crashed into the Maduru Oya Reservoir during a training exercise this morning.

At least 12 personnel—including two Air Force pilots and several Special Forces soldiers—were on board the aircraft at the time. Several were admitted to the hospital for treatment, 

The incident occurred during an exercise held as part of the Sri Lanka Army Special Forces passing-out ceremony in Maduru Oya.
