UNP expels 1137 LG members from party

UNP working committee yesterday decided to expel some 1137  of its local government members who have decided to support other  parties.   

Party sources said the disciplinary committee had decided  on the course of action as these members have not cooperated during the  inquiries.   

Some of the members who are to be expelled are ones who have got the ticket to contest from other parties.
