Two women killed in Southern Expressway crash

Two women were killed and four others injured when a van overturned following a tyre burst on the Southern Expressway, police said.

The accident occurred near the 175-kilometre post in the Angunakolapelessa area.

According to police, the van had been travelling at high speed when one of its tyres suddenly burst, causing the vehicle to veer off and overturn.
