Two spill gates of Laxapana reservoir opened

Two spill gates of the Laxapana reservoir have been opened following the incessant showers experienced for the last week, the Disaster Management Centre said today.

The Centre has issued a warning to residents living downstream of Kelani River to be vigilant over rising water levels.
