Thick fog envelopes hills in Uva

Several areas in the Uva Province are shrouded in a thick mist in the morning and evening due to the prevailing inclement weather. 

The police have asked motorists to be cautious when driving along the roads namely, Badulla-Passara, Passara-Madolsima, Ekiriya-Pitamaruwa, Ella-Wellwaya, Ettampitiya-Welimada, and Beragala-Haputale, which have steep slopes and blind curves.

They pointed out that the hills bounded by these roads were susceptible to erosion and earth slips and were often obstructed by rocks and mounds of earth. (Prasanna Pathmasiri)
