Tension erupts at UNP headquarters

A tense situation was reported at the UNP party headquarters in Sirikotha when a group of UNP supporters arrived to hand over a document on reviving the party.

They alleged that the Secretary of NDF, MP Ravi Karunanayake, had arrived just as they were leaving and assaulted them, claiming that the group was trying to undermine Karunanayake's appointment to Parliament through the NDF national list.
