Stretch connecting Kadawatha, Central Expressway to commence in August: Bimal

Colombo, June 5 (Daily Mirror) - The construction work of the stretch connecting Kadawatha and the Central Expressway will commence in August this year, Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake told Parliament today.

He said tenders have already been called for in this regard.

The Minister said steps will be taken to initiate the construction work of the main section of the Central Expressway which will also commence in the near future by the Chinse contractor or a local contractor.

He said discussions are under way with the Chinese firm regarding the construction work of the Expressway.
