Shani’s appointment politically motivated: Former SJB MP

Colombo, October 15 (Daily Mirror) -The appointment of Shani Abeysekera as the Director of Crimes is a politically motivated one, a Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) former MP said today.

“Shani’s appointment is a politically motivated one as he was a person who appeared on the National People's Power (NPP) stage during the presidential election,” SJB former MP Harshana Rajakaruna told a media briefing.

“However we expect him to bring those who are responsible for the Easter Sunday bomb attacks as soon as possible,” the former MP said.
