Severe lightning advisory issued for several places

Colombo, March 27 (Daily Mirror) - The Meteorology Department warned of thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva Provinces and in the Kurunegala, Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya and Ampara districts.

It said there may be temporary localised strong winds during thundershowers.

The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by lightning activity.
