School second term to end on July 24

Colombo, July 23 (Daily Mirror) - The second school term for Sinhala and Tamil schools in government schools and government-approved private schools will end on Friday, July 24, 2026, the Education Ministry said.

Accordingly, the first phase of the third school term will commence on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Meanwhile, the second school term for Muslim schools will conclude on Friday, July 31, 2026.

The first phase of the third school term for Muslim schools will begin on Sunday, August 30, 2026, according to the announced school term schedule.
