SL delegation holds discussions with X-Press Pearl lawyers, insurers

A Sri Lankan delegation led by the Attorney General recently engaged in discussions with the lawyers and insurers representing the owner of the fire-damaged freight ship, 'MV X-Press Pearl'. 

These talks took place earlier this week, according to the President's Media Division (PMD). 

During the discussions in Singapore on July 18 and 19, both parties focused on addressing the key aspects of the incident and its aftermath. 

Notably, significant progress was made in terms of assessing claims and devising plans for the recovery of the wreckage of the Singapore-flagged X-Press Pearl vessel which was engulfed in flames.
