SJB MP decides to function independently in Parliament

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Vadivel Suresh who had left the party said he had decided to function as an independent MP.

MP Suresh told Daily Mirror that he had made this decision over the conduct of Party Leader Sajith Premadasa.

“ I have organized a rally in Passara and was waiting for party leader Premadasa. He later informed me that he had fallen ill and is going to hospital seeking treatment. However, I later saw him going live on Facebook and addressing a rally in Welimada. Therefore I decided to leave SJB as my people have been cheated. All political leaders are cheating the estate community,” he said

“ I will function as an independent MP,” he added. (Yohan Perera)
