SAITM students want to meet President

SAITM Medical Faculty Student Activists Committee in a letter sent today had requested a meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss their views on the government solutions made over the SAITM controversy.

The association President Shanaka de Seram said that they expect a positive response by the President.

He said in the discussion with the President the association is hoping to clarify how the new practice to be worked out on the SAITM students and also the responsible authorities of the new body.

In the letter it has also said that the government should initiate the proposals immediately. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)
