Railway strike from midnight today

A 48-hour railway strike would be launched from midnight today as the discussions held with Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera were failed, railway trade unions said.

The Railway Trade Union Alliance (RTUA) said they decided to launch the strike from midnight today since the authorities have failed to resolve their salary anomalies.
