President responds to Mahanayake Theras on resolving present crisis

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has apprised the Mahanayake Theras of the three chapters regarding the future actions to be taken to recover from the present crisis situation in the country.

The letter in this regard has been presented to the Mahanayake Theras of the three chapters by the Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhist Affairs this morning.

However, the content of the letter was yet to be revealed.

The Mahanayake Theras had issued a set of proposals to the President and the government on resolving the current crisis situation in the country. (Shane Seneviratne)
