Police open fire at car in Colombo

Colombo, January 24 (Daily Mirror)- Police opened fire at a car last night after its occupants failed to comply with multiple stop orders in the Grandpass area.

Police said officers from the Colombo North Crimes Division pursued the vehicle after it ignored a stop-and-search request. 

During the incident, one person sustained minor injuries. Upon searching the car, police discovered illegal alcohol.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident.
