Colombo, Feb. 25 (Daily Mirror) - Representatives of opposition political parties met former President Ranil Wickremesinghe today at his office to discuss joint mechanisms under which all opposition parties could work together.
Former MP Anura Priyadarshana Yapa told journalists that all opposition parties will work together in order to save the multi-party system in the country.
"We have already met Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and SLPP National Organiser Namal Rajapaksa following the advice of the Mahanayaka threas that all opposition political parties should come together," he said.
Professor G.L. Peiris, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila and former MP Mahinda Amaraweera participated in the discussions.
