Yoshitha Rajapaksa granted bail

Colombo, June 17 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (17) granted bail to Yoshitha Rajapaksa, hours after he was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with an ongoing investigation into his recruitment to the Sri Lanka Navy.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva ordered Rajapaksa’s release on three personal bails of Rs. 5 million each. The court also imposed a travel ban, preventing him from leaving the country pending further proceedings. Pic by Pradeep Pathirana
