Opposition discusses Supreme Court retirement age proposal

Colombo, July 23 (Daily Mirror) - A special discussion among opposition party leaders on the government’s proposal to extend the retirement age of Supreme Court judges is currently being held at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Colombo.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, Sarva Jana Balaya Leader Dilith Jayaweera, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa, former Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and several other opposition representatives have arrived to participate in the meeting.

The discussion was convened at the invitation of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to discuss the proposed amendment regarding the retirement age of Supreme Court judges and other related matters.
