One-hour power cut to be imposed today & tomorrow

One-hour power cut will be imposed at several areas in the country between 06.00 pm to 09.30 pm today and tomorrow (08), the Ministry of Power said.

Ministry Spokesperson Sulakshana Jayawardena said power cuts could be experienced until the third power generation unit of the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant becomes fully operational.

"We hope it will become fully functional by tomorrow evening," he added
