OMP findings held no criminal liability: DM

Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera said today no criminal liability would arise from the findings of the Office of Missing Persons to be set up under the legislation passed today..

He said it was only aimed at establishing the truth. Therefore, he said there was no reason for anyone to panic.

The deputy minister said the findings could not be used for prosecution outside the country.(Kelum Bandara and Yohan Perera)
