No fuel shortage: Lanka IOC says stocks sufficient for weeks

Lanka IOC PLC has assured the public that it maintains adequate and sufficient stocks of Petrol and Diesel across all its supply locations islandwide, dismissing concerns of any potential shortage.

In a statement issued on March 1, the company revealed that current petrol stocks are sufficient for 34 days, while diesel stocks will last for 26 days based on prevailing supply levels.

Highlighting that there is no fuel shortage, the company urged customers to avoid panic buying or unnecessary stockpiling.

Lanka IOC further said that its supply locations will remain operational during the public holidays to ensure uninterrupted fuel distribution to retail outlets and to prevent any inconvenience to the public.
