No public transport services tomorrow after the temporary relaxation of travel restrictions, Transport State Minister Dilum Amunugama announced today.

He told the Daily Mirror that travel restrictions will be relaxed only to buy essential foods and medicines from the nearest shops or pharmacies, but not for the purpose of travelling.

"Earlier, we decided to operate buses and trains within the district limits after the travel relaxations, but the situation had changed following the announcement made today by the Government," the State Minister said.

Accordingly, public transport services such as SLTB, private buses or trains will not be in operation during that period, he added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
