No SLPP MP representing Anuradhapura attended yesterday’s rally: Kariyawasam

Colombo, August 22 (Daily Mirror)- No Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian represting the Anuradhapura District participated in organising the SLPP's maiden rally held in Anuradhapura yesterday, SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam said today.

He told a news conference that people did not make it an issue and had attended the rally in large numbers.

The MP said people in Anuradhapura requested party leader Mahinda Rajapaksa not to take back those who betrayed national requirements and had crossed over.
