Nine PCR testing officials in Colombo contract Covid-19

At least nine officials of the Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council who carried out PCR testing at the Peliyagoda Fish Market have also contracted Covid-19, a CMC official said.

Meanwhile, he said a total of 5,368 PCR tests have been carried out in Colombo as of yesterday since October 18 and 937 of them have tested as Covid-19 positive.

A total of 541 Covid patients were reported yesterday. Among them, 304 persons were reported from Gampaha District, 191 from Colombo and 42 patients were reported from quarantine centres.
