Neesham & Binura Seal Rajshahi’s Spot in BPL Final

JAN.21 (Mirror Sports) - Rajshahi Warriors booked their place in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final with a thrilling 12-run win over Sylhet Titans in the Qualifier 2 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

All-rounder Jimmy Neesham finally delivered with the bat, smashing 44 off 26 to lift Rajshahi to a competitive 165/9. He shared a key 77-run partnership with Kane Williamson (45 off 38)* after Rajshahi slumped in the middle overs.

In reply, Binura Fernando was outstanding with the ball, claiming 4/19 as Sylhet were restricted to 153/8. Fernando’s disciplined death bowling sealed the win after early blows dismissed two Sylhet batters cheaply, and Neesham’s run-out of Parvez Hossain Emon (48) proved a crucial turning point.

Rajshahi will now face Chattogram Royals in the BPL final on Friday.
