Mother, daughter found dead mysteriously in Ginigathhena

Bodies of two women, a mother and her daughter, who died under mysterious circumstances, found in a house at Kanda Suridugama in Ginigathhena yesterday.

Police said the dead women, aged 30 and 50 were residents of Ginigathena.

The mother and daughter were found dead on a bed in a bedroom of the house.

After the magisterial examination, the bodies are lying at the Nawalapitiya Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination and the Ginigathena Police are conducting further investigations into these deaths.

Meanwhile, another body of a female was also found in Valachchenai.

Police said the victim woman, a 52-year-old resident of Valachchenai has been living alone at home and had died a few days ago. (DSB)
