More than 1,000 living with shrapnel in their bodies: TNA

More than a thousand citizens lived with shrapnel embedded in their body due to the bomb blasts which took place in Vavuniya and Jaffna during the war, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) said.  

Statistics revealed that 113 were students, TNA MP Shiva Shakthi Anandan said.

He urged the government to provide the victims with adequate medical facilities to remove the explosives from their body. (Romesh Madushanka)
