Ministry of Transport, Highways gets new Secretary

Colombo, July 22 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Eng. (Dr.) Asiri Karunawardena as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, the President’s Media Division said.

The letter of appointment was presented to him this afternoon (22) at the Presidential Secretariat by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

Prior to this appointment, Eng. (Dr.) Asiri Karunawardena served as the Director General of the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO).
