Mawanella PS Chairman arrested for accepting bribe

Chairman of the Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha Samantha Steevan was arrested by the Bribery Commission officers today while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2 million.

He was caught red handed by the bribery commission officers at a hotel in Mawanella town as he was taking the bribe to get a plan of a proposed building approved by the Pradeshiya sabha.
