MR leaves for Thailand today

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave for Thailand today for what sources close to him called for a variety of cultural activities, it is learnt.

This is his first overseas visit after the electoral defeat in January, last year. He will be accompanied by former External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris.

He is supposed to return after a few days.
