Labour Department suspends services for 3 days due to network maintenance

Colombo, May 20 (Daily Mirror) - The Labour Department announced that several of its services, including the payment of funds to its members, will be temporarily suspended for three days starting tomorrow (21).

The Department’s Commissioner General said that the suspension is necessary to carry out essential maintenance work to the department’s computer network.

Accordingly, services will remain unavailable until Friday, May 23.

The affected services include:

  • Payment of full Employees' Provident Fund benefits (K application)
  • Payment of deceased members' benefits (L application)
  • Payment of 30 percent Employees' Provident Fund benefits
  • Registration of AHs
  • Registration of new institutions
  • Processing of B cards

The Commissioner General further noted that clients who have reserved a date and time for these services by phone will be given priority once services resume. He also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to clients during this period.
