LAUGFS Gas increases domestic LPG refill prices from tonight

Colombo, March 11 (Daily Mirror) - LAUGFS Gas PLC has announced a revision of domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) refill prices with effect from midnight today (11).

According to the company, the price of a 12.5 kg domestic LPG cylinder in the Colombo District has been increased by Rs. 300, raising the new price from Rs. 4,330 to Rs. 4,630.

Meanwhile, the price of the 5 kg LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs. 120, bringing the new price from Rs. 1,742 to Rs. 1,862 in the Colombo District.

LAUGFS Gas said that the price revision was necessitated due to prevailing global geopolitical developments and ongoing conflicts that have affected international energy markets.

The company said that these conditions have created supply chain pressures, increased global LPG prices and tightened market availability.

Despite the price adjustment, LAUGFS Gas said it remains committed to ensuring the continuous supply of safe, reliable and high-quality LPG to households across Sri Lanka through its nationwide distribution network.
