Kotahena suicide incident: Maths tutor requests CID probe

The maths tutor accused of verbally harassing the girl who committed suicide in Kotahena  requested an investigation into the allegations made against him and his institution.

Speaking to the media at the CID premises, he urged the CID to investigate into the social media allegations involving him, his institute and his political affiliations.

He arrived at the CID last night (08).

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry announced yesterday (08) that a separate teacher allegedly involved in molesting the Kotahena schoolgirl has been placed on compulsory leave following the submission of a police B report.

An internal inquiry into that incident has also been initiated against the teacher.
