Kelani Valley railway line restored; train services back as usual

The damaged railway track on the Kelani Valley railway line has been repaired, and train services have resumed as usual, the Railways Department said.

They said due to the damage, train services on the Kelani Valley railway line were disrupted. 

The railtrack between Baseline Road and Narahenpita railway stations was found to have been broken this evening.

As soon as the incident was reported, the department's workers were assigned to handle the repair work immediately. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
