Keheliya appoints Ajith Rohana as member of NATA

Senior DIG Crimes and Traffic Ajith Rohana has been appointed as a member of National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella with immediate effect.

In the letter of appointment, the minister said SDIG Rohana's term of office will be for such period that he hold the post of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police.

The minister informed the SDIG that he could perform the powers and the function in accordance with the provisions of the National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol Act No.27 of 2006 with amendment.

Ajith Rohana has been notified to inform the health minister over acceptance of new appointment within one week.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
