Kamindu Mendis wins Catch of the Season in IPL 2025

Kamindu Mendis won the Catch of the Season award in IPL 2025 for a spectacular diving effort against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai. 

Mendis flew full stretch like a goalkeeper to grab a powerful shot from Dewald Brevis, holding on safely even as he landed hard on the turf. The breathtaking catch drew widespread praise and quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 season ended in historic fashion as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally clinched their first-ever IPL title after 18 years of heartbreak. In a thrilling final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, RCB edged out Punjab Kings by six runs to seal a memorable victory.

RCB batted first and put up 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets, with key contributions coming from both the top and middle order. Punjab Kings put up a valiant fight in their chase but were restricted to 184 for seven, falling just short in the high-stakes encounter.
