Indian with Ice worth Rs. 25 million nabbed at BIA

Katunayaka, October 16 (Daily Mirror) - An Indian national was arrested this morning by the officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) while he was attempting to smuggle one kilogram of Ice narcotic into the country.

The suspect arrived at the airport at 5:00 pm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-315.

The street value of the stock of Ice in his possession was calculated as Rs. 25 million.

Customs investigations revealed that the suspect was a businessman in India.

The stock of Ice was found wrapped with a sari in his luggage.

Actions was taken to hand over this person along with this stock of Ice to the officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Division for further investigations.
