Indian ship ‘Cora Divh’ arrives in Trincomalee

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) ‘Cora Divh’ arrived at the Trincomalee port on a goodwill visit today, the Navy said.

The visiting ship was welcomed by Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions.

INS ‘Cora Divh’ is a 48.9m long ship with a displacement of 293 tons. The vessel is manned by 61 officers and sailors. During their stay on the island, the crew members of the ship will take part in several events organized by Sri Lanka Navy.

The ship is scheduled to leave for her next port of call tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Russian naval vessel, Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov and Japanese ship ‘DD-151 Asagiri' which were in the country, departed the Colombo harbour yesterday.
