I was removed through a ‘Boardroom coup’: Former SLT Chairman

Rohan Fernando who has been removed from the post of Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) today claimed that a ‘Boardroom coup’ took place to remove him from the position, suggesting that moves were underway to facilitate the sale of the state-owned enterprise. 

Rohan Fernando revealed that he has been removed from his post following a decision of the Board of Directors.

"I believe that I may have been an obstacle in this process," he said.
