Head-on bus collision kills one, injures 15 in Wewurukannala

One individual was killed while another 15 were wounded in a head-on bus collision in Wewurukannala on the Dickwella-Beliaththa main road today.

The head-on collision took place between a bus travelling from Matara to Kataragama and a bus travelling from Tangalla to Colombo.

The driver of the bus travelling from Matara to Kataragama succumbed to his injures while 15 others including the driver of the other bus were injured and admitted to the Tangalla, Dickwella and Matarta hospitals.
