Government to probe gifting of lands to cricketers, artistes, politicians

Colombo, June 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Government is to probe the lands given to cricketers, artistes and politicians during the past years, Parliament was told today. 

Referring to a question raised in Parliament by MP Padmasiri Bandara, Deputy Minister Susil Ranasinghe said a probe will be conducted to determine how the lands have been offered. 

MP Bandara said some who had thus received lands have transferred them to others.
