Government assures court of measures to reduce air pollution

Colombo, March 6  (Daily Mirror) - The Attorney General informed the Court of Appeal today that the authorities will take the necessary measures to reduce air pollution across the country, including in the Jaffna district.

These remarks were made in response to a writ petition filed by Dr. Umasugi Nadarajah, a medical practitioner, which was taken up before a two-judge bench of the Court of Appeal, comprising (Acting President) Justice Mohammed Laffar and Justice K.M.S. Dissanayake.
