Fresh warm weather advisory issued

Colombo, Feb 21 (Daily Mirror) - The Department of Meteorology issued a fresh advisory warning that cautionary-level warm weather conditions will continue during the next few days as well.  

According to the advisory, the heat index-the temperature felt on the human body-is expected to rise to ‘Caution level’ in several parts of the country. 

The affected areas include the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara and Moneragala districts.  

In light of the situation, people are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and take measures to stay cool, especially during peak daytime hours.
