Emirates Flight makes emergency landing at BIA

A Sydney bound flight was diverted to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this evening after a passenger suffered a stroke in the flight.

Airport official said the Emirates flight had landed at the BIA at around 6.30pm and the passenger was admitted to a hospital.

They said the flight would depart after few hours to its destination.
