Colombo, May 30 (Daily Mirror) - With the prevailing inclement weather conditions sweeping across the country, the number of local electricity breakdowns has seen a noticeable increase, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.

The CEB said that heavy rains, strong winds, and lightning experienced last evening contributed to disruptions in the power supply across several areas.

As a result, the CEB has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any power outages or electrical faults promptly.

To streamline the response process, the CEB encourages citizens to report breakdowns through the CEBCare mobile application, available on both Android and iOS platforms. Alternatively, the public can call the short number 1987, which operates 24/7, to report any issues.

The CEB assures the public that teams are on standby islandwide to attend to faults as quickly as possible and requests public cooperation during this challenging period.
