Dr Bellana in hot water over comments on Ranil’s health

A disciplinary investigation has been initiated against Deputy Director of the National Hospital Colombo Dr Rukshan Bellana for making public statements to the media regarding the health condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, the officials are not permitted to disclose sensitive medical information of patients without proper authorization, especially in the case of high-profile individuals.
